I am the Jerry B. and Mary Anne Chapman Professor of Business in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship in the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. I have a BA in Economics from Rollins College, an MBA from University of Florida, and a PhD in Strategic Management from Indiana University.

Over the past 15 years, I have devoted my career to understanding and teaching  the intricacies involved with organizational research and data analysis. My research involves observational data (i.e., non-experimental), and these types of data present a variety of challenges for researchers.

I am constantly tinkering with data analysis, and from time to time I run into issues/ideas that I think could benefit others. Often, these ideas are not enough for a paper. For these ideas, I thought a blog format might be most useful. Thus, the purpose of this website.

Finally, I am sorry for the name of this website. I have long been against "scholar.com" websites, but the fact is it is the easiest way for others to find this information.
